What is the best time to visit Meghalaya?
October to April is the safer bet for most Meghalaya tours — clear skies, comfortable weather, good visibility at the viewpoints. That said, if you specifically want to catch the waterfalls at full strength, monsoon season (June to September) is actually better, heavy rain included.
How many days are enough for a Meghalaya trip?
Four to six days covers the main circuit comfortably: Shillong, Cherrapunji, Dawki, Mawlynnong. Want to add Jowai or go further off the usual path? Give it seven to nine days instead.
Are Meghalaya tour packages customizable?
Yes, and most bookings end up changed in some way anyway. A different pace here, an extra day there, a swapped stay. Tell us what matters and we’ll build the Meghalaya tour package around it.
Is Meghalaya safe for couples and family trips?
It’s one of the calmer states we work in. Low crime, welcoming locals for the most part, and infrastructure that’s gotten noticeably better over the last few years. We see solo travelers, couples and families booking regularly.
What's a good Meghalaya travel package if I'm starting from Guwahati?
Most people do start there since it has the closest airport. A 5N/6D or 6N/7D trip through Guwahati, Shillong, Cherrapunji and Dawki works well if it’s your first time exploring Meghalaya tourism spots.
Does the package include hotel stays and transport?
Yes. Stays, private local transport and sightseeing come built into every Meghalaya holiday package. Meals and a few smaller details can be adjusted based on what you want.
Can I add Kaziranga to my Meghalaya itinerary?
A fair number of travelers do exactly that. A short Kaziranga safari tacked onto a Meghalaya trip rounds things out without adding too many extra days.
